What the consultation actually involves
When John arrives, he’ll start by walking through the rooms you’re looking to dress and asking a few questions about how you use each space, what you want from the window covering and whether there’s anything specific you’ve already had in mind. Most people have a rough idea of what they’re after; John’s job is to help them land on the right product and the right fabric.
He brings the full range of samples — fabric swatches, material examples, colour options and in some cases physical examples of the products themselves. You’ll see how different fabrics look in your own light, against your own walls and alongside your existing furniture. That’s the part that’s genuinely hard to replicate from a website or a brochure.
John measures every window that’s going to be dressed, records everything he needs and makes sure you’re happy with the direction before he leaves. The visit typically takes between 30 minutes and an hour depending on the number of windows involved. Nicky will follow up with your quote the following day.

Most consultations take between 30 minutes and an hour depending on the number of rooms and windows involved. John works at your pace — there’s no rush.
Do I need to have a specific product in mind before booking?
No — most people come to the consultation with only a general idea of what they want. That’s exactly what the consultation is for. John will show you the options that suit your windows and rooms and give honest advice on what works best.
How long before I receive my quote?
Nicky will send your quote by the following day. It will be itemised by window and product, with the product cost and installation charge clearly stated.
