French doors need a blind that handles two opening panels, stays out of the door mechanism and still looks neat when both doors are open. It’s one of the more specific installation challenges in blind fitting, and getting the right product for the right frame type matters.
The most common approach for French doors is Perfect Fit blinds where the frame type is compatible. Each door panel gets its own blind that clips into the frame and moves with the door when it opens — giving a clean, integrated look with no trailing fabric and no cords catching in the handle or the gap between the doors. The result looks built-in rather than added-on.
John will assess your specific French doors at the consultation. Frame type, opening direction and recess depth all affect what’s possible, and not every French door frame is suitable for Perfect Fit installation. He’ll confirm the right option for your doors before any measurements are taken or anything is quoted.

The most suitable product depends on your frame type. For compatible frames, Perfect Fit pleated or cellular blinds are the cleanest solution — each door gets its own blind that clips into the frame and moves with it. John will assess your specific doors at the consultation and confirm what’s possible.
No — frame compatibility varies. John always checks the frame type at the consultation before making a recommendation. If your frames aren’t compatible with Perfect Fit, he’ll advise on the best alternative for your doors.
