Patio doors present a specific challenge for blinds. They’re wide, they open and close regularly, and the blind needs to work with the door mechanism rather than obstruct it. A blind chosen without considering how the doors actually operate tends to become the thing you push out of the way every time you go into the garden.
The right solution depends on how your patio doors are constructed and how you use them day to day. Vertical blinds are a popular option — they draw fully to one or both sides, clearing the opening completely. For certain door frame types, Perfect Fit options may be available, giving a cleaner, more integrated finish. Tracked shutters are also worth considering for larger patio door openings.
John will look at your specific patio doors at the consultation and advise on the most suitable product. Patio doors vary considerably in their construction, width and how they open — what works well on one type won’t necessarily work on another, and it’s worth getting the right recommendation from the start.
